Tobacco Prevention & Education Programs

Put It Out Rockland

The Rockland County Department of Health's Comprehensive Tobacco Prevention & Education Program aims to reduce youth tobacco use rates, promote quitting among adults and youth, and reduce exposure to secondhand smoke in all communities in Rockland County.  Our program includes cessation services, a public service media campaign, a youth empowerment initiative, and a campaign to increase the awareness about the dangers of secondhand smoke.

Adolescent Tobacco Use Prevention Act (ATUPA)

The Rockland County Department of Health enforces the ATUPA legislation and regulatory actions (fines) in an effort to prevent the sale of tobacco products to persons under the age of 18.
