"Life Support and Orange and Rockland"

O&R and PCL&P have a Life Support Equipment (LSE) program designed to help customers on certain medical devices prepare for the possibility of  a power outage. The program does not guarantee uninterrupted electric service. Rather, it provides information on proper planning and preparation for emergency situations.

To qualify, a customer or family member must be dependent on a qualifying electrically operated medical device such as a kidney dialysis machine, oxygen concentrator, infant apnea monitor, pressure breathing therapy, peritoneal dialysis machine, infusion feeding pump, respirator or ventilator.

LSE customers receive a personal Emergency Action Planner, a confidential telephone number for access to the latest information during unplanned outages, and advance notification of scheduled interruptions, among other benefits.

For more information or to apply for LSE coding, call toll free at 1-877-434-4100 or go to www.oru.com/LSE
