Frank
Sparaco, a Valley Cottage native, was elected to the
Rockland County Legislature in November of 2007. He is a
decorated US Navy combat veteran, a successful local
businessman, a husband and the father of a four-year old
daughter. He attended Nyack H.S., ASU, College of Staten
Island, and Rockland Community College.
Mr. Sparaco first served his country with distinction during
the United Nations’ involvement in Bosnia in the late
1990's. He served aboard the US Navy aircraft carrier, the
USS Theodore Roosevelt. As an Aviations Director on the
flight deck, Mr. Sparaco earned various accommodations and
medals including: the National Defense Service Medal, the
Southwest Asia Service Medal, the Sea Service Deployment
Ribbon w/Bronze Star, NATO Medal and the Armed Forces
Expeditionary Medal.
Mr. Sparaco was President of the Rockland County Young
Republicans 2001-2007, as well as a member of the Clarkstown
Republican Committee and the County Executive Committee. He
is a member of the Valley Cottage, Congers and Nanuet Civic
Associations and a member of the Board of Directors of Big
Brothers, Big Sisters. He is a former member of the
Clarkstown Traffic Advisory Board and the Fire Safety Board.
He won the New York State GOP voter registration drive in
2007.
He is the youngest member of the County Legislature and
serves on Environmental, Economic Development, and Multi
Services committees. He is also a
Legislative Liaison to the Rockland County Youth Bureau. |
