Bob Jackson has been a resident of Nanuet since March of 1991.  Shortly after moving to Nanuet, Bob joined the Nanuet Civic Association and soon became president of that organization.  In that position, he attended many Town Board and Planning Board meetings over the years, speaking out on issues of concern to the residents of Nanuet.

Bob served on the Town of Clarkstown’s ad hoc committee regarding the Town’s master plan; the Clarkstown Open Space committee, helping to select parcels of land for the Town to preserve from development, and the Clarkstown Planning Board.

As a private citizen, Bob did volunteer work during the construction of the COPS (“Children of Promise Stable) horse barn at St. Agatha’s Home.  For the last eight years, he has maintained the rose garden at the Nanuet Veterans Monument in his free time.

Bob has been married to his wife Fran for 30 years.  They have two grown children, both of whom graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas College here in Rockland.  After working for Chase Manhattan Bank for over 10 years, Bob joined the FDNY in 1987 and retired as a Lieutenant from Engine 54 in Manhattan in 2007.
