How does an excellent medical lab contribute to good health?

Where can I find an excellent medical lab that will do this?
At the Outpatient Care Services, a Rockland County Department of Hospitals unit, 2nd floor, Building A, at the Dr. Robert L.Yeager Health Center in Pomona. Outpatient Services is open Monday thru Friday, 8 A.M. to 5 P.M.

The labs and medical test facilities are Joint Commission accredited and licensed by the New York State Department of Health.

Prostate Screening (PSA)
Chemical Comprehensive
Liver Function
Cholesterol Screening
Thyroid Tests
Urinalysis/Cultures
Rubellas, Varicella
Routine X-Rays

How do I get my tests done by the county’s medical lab?

Have the doctor give you a written prescription and diagnosis.

Call (845) 364-2129 or 364-2983 Monday thru Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM to make an appointment for your tests.

At the time of your appointment come to Outpatient Service, Department of Hospitals, Bldg. A, 2nd floor, Dr. Robert L. Yeager Health Center.

You must have your doctor’s written prescription and diagnosis when you come in for your appointment.

What if tests are required on short notice?
Walk-ins during the regular workday are welcome. However, there may be a wait as previously scheduled tests are given.

What if I cannot keep an appointment?
Please call to cancel.

Where and when may test results be obtained?
The results are confidential and can ONLY be obtained from your doctor or healthcare provider. The county’s Outpatient Services lab follows the same medical regulations that apply to all New York State medical labs. The lab sends test results to the prescribing physician. At the time of your test, ask the lab when the results will be sent to your doctor.
