January 27, 2012 - The Rockland County Industrial Development Agency (IDA) has successfully recaptured 100 percent of the benefits received by Olympus Industrial America Inc., totaling more than $1.9 million.

January 24, 2012 - The New York State Department of Labor released local area unemployment rates for December, 2011. Rockland County was noted as having one of the lowest county employment rates in the state, at 6.5 percent.

January 24, 2012 - Rockland County Executive C. Scott Vanderhoef announced that the Rockland County Office for the Aging was awarded a Certificate of Recognition by the New York State Office of Children and Family Service’s Division of Adult Protective Services.
